When it comes to holiday office parties, family dinners, and school events, the months of November and December can become a blur. That's why having a quick snack option is great to have on hand when there are gifts to be given. Not to mention, a sweet treat does not have to be dusted after Christmas!
The following recipe comes from my Crunch of the Nutcracker novella, featuring the characters from my "Slice of Life Mystery" series.
What you will need for this recipe:
1 1/2 cup of Rice Chex Cereal
1 1/2 cup of Cheerios Oat Crunch Almond Cereal
1 1/2 cup of Corn Chex Cereal
1 cup of Thin Pretzel Rods (broken in half)
1 cup of Regular M&Ms
1 cup of Mini Marshmallows
10 oz. bag of Ghiradelli White Melting Wafers
Silver Sprinkles
Gold Sprinkles
Red Nonpareils

Start by mixing all ingredients on the list, except for the chocolate wafers and the sprinkles. Next, melt the Ghirardelli wafers per the instructions on the bag. Pour the melted chocolate over the items in the bowl and mix to coat evenly. Then, place wax paper on a tray and dump the mixture onto the paper. Spread the mixture out and lightly shake the sprinkles/nonpareils all over. Let cool in the refrigerator. Break them up into chunks and store in airtight containers.
Makes 6 - 8 servings.
Now, I shouldn't have to mention this, but this recipe is only a suggestion. I am not held responsible for any damage to yourself, or any object in your house, should you decide to give this recipe a try. And it is always important to double-check with food allergies whenever making food for large groups at work or get-togethers.
I hope that you can add this fun recipe to your gift list this holiday season and feel free to jot down what your go-to-snack is in the comments below. Until next time, have a great time baking! #festivesnacks #cozymystery #recipe #dessert #sweets #chexmix #crunch #holidaygift
