The Lost Library is a well-written, and great story for people of all ages!

A little library pops up overnight in the town of Martinville with an orange cat keeping guard. When eleven-year-old Evan picks two books out of the little library, he discovers that they are not only connected to each other, but to a famous author and the fire that destroyed the town’s library years ago. As the story unfolds, Evan learns more about his town, its residents, and his parents; along with other unique characters and animals, not all of which are pets. Evan and his best friend, Rafe, begin to find clues that change not only their future, but that of the town's as well.

While this story is told from three different “people’s” viewpoints, I didn't find it repetitive nor confusing, and each time the viewpoint changes, it's well marked. I’m glad my daughter suggested I read this book, because I consider the time reading it was well spent! The story had a unique solution to the mystery of the original library's fire that may seem a little farfetched at first glance, but upon doing some research, is totally plausible in a surprising way.
