I found this cozy story a fun read and a bit different. Nora is trying to save her family's home, which happens to be a castle in England, with its own ghost, by turning it into a Bed and Breakfast. When she finds the body of a local lady who happened to fight her at every turn in starting the business, she decides to figure out who the killer is. Her sister, Tamsyn, an actress between shows, teams up with her to solve the crime before the opening of the business becomes its closing. The guests at the castle hold more than one surprise, while a crime from the past adds extra layers to the intrigue. The author has created enjoyable characters in a realistic and welcoming village.
I enjoyed the fact that not only did I not figure out the identity of the killer, it was not the cliche ending I was expecting. I thoroughly enjoyed how effectively the author used the ghost, Sir Percival, and Nora's pets': Rolf, an English Mastiff, and Ruffian, her cat, natural behavior to keep the story moving. I am definitely looking forward to the next one in this series.
